Imagery provides a window to the varied hydrologic landscapes of New Mexico. It displays the patterns of rivers, irrigation, springs, playas, reservoirs, mountains and vegetation that drive and respond to the hydrologic system. Imagery collected at different times allows us to view landscape and hydrologic change. Quantities derived from these imagery databases are a component of the water budgets and models that are at the core of many water planning efforts. |
